Rest in Peace, Bill Johnson
Our dear friend

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Bill Johnson, a long-time IPMS member, mentor, excellent modeler, and my good friend. Bill passed away from natural causes at age 91.

Bill’s wife Fran, has asked that the family be extended some privacy at this time. There are no plans for any kind of public memorial or service, per Bill’s wishes.

The closure of the Everett museum where Bill worked as aircraft docent, and Covid (with the resulting separation from all of his acquaintances) was hard on our friend. His easy smile, his humility, decency, and his sincere interest in what everyone else was doing will surely be missed. If we can learn anything from his passing, it is to stay connected during this hard time. It’s people that matter.

So long, Bill. Model On.
